Early 1900's

  • Grandma's Advice by Mrs. Price who learned this from her mother who used to ride horseback around Iowa County to give music lessons back in the early 1900's.

1878

Listen to Frank Lambert record the first human voice in history on a phongraph. Frank Lambert was a French - American inventor. Lambert was born in Lyon, France and then moved to the United States in 1876 and became a citizen in 1893. Lambert is currently in the Guinness World Book of Records for the oldest playable recording on a machine called the Phonograph. Lambert was also famous for inventing the modern typewriter.
